KERB Camden Market
If you want some of London's best street food all in one place, you need to visit Camden's Kerb Market which is now open every day of the week.
I first saw Oli Baba's food stand, which I noticed was serving halloumi fries. I have never tried them and Oli Baba's version did not disappoint. They give you a variety of toppings (see pic) and personally, I think the pomegranate worked really well. It is reasonably priced at £6.0 and the portion is satisfactory.
Whilst at Kerb, I also visited Bian Dang who specialise in Taiwanese rice boxes. However, on this occasion I opted for their steamed buns (BAO) because I wanted to insure that I had space for dessert. You can have all three buns for £9.0, which includes a braised pork, chicken and (surprisingly my favourite) mushroom. Bian Dang is definitely another stall I would recommend. The buns are so delicious and it such a joy watching the chefs put them together with great attention to detail.
Now let me tell you about dessert. It was the obvious choice, churros from La Churreria. I mean I wanted them all over again after uploading the photo! These churros are made to order - the mix is dispensed into the fryer, once cooked they removed from the fryer and doused in sugar and cinnamon. I had the large one for £6.0 - this comes with 6 churros and two sauces (Belgian chocolate and warm butterscotch). You can also have your churros with ice cream, if you prefer. Either way, you definitely need to finish or start your visit with this dessert.
Overall, Kerb Camden is very vibrant and offers various types of foods. It is truly "everything that’s great about London food", with the added touch of Camden Lock.
